CODE OF CONDUCT
The Bradentucky Bombers Roller Derby League is committed to providing a climate of encouragement and tolerance, understanding and mutual respect which means all our skaters are made to feel equal in dignity and rights. Bradentucky Bombers Roller Derby League will make every reasonable effort to ensure that all skaters are safe, protected, and free from harassment of any form, violence, illegal activities, or bullying that can result in a loss of skater comfort.
SKATER CODE OF CONDUCT
All members of the Bradentucky Bombers, LLC, are expected to behave in a manner that is sportsmanlike and respectful to officials, volunteers, spectators, facilities, and fellow skaters.
It is the objective of the Bradentucky Bombers, LLC, to promote a cooperative and safe environment in which there exists mutual respect for all skaters, coaches, officials, volunteers and staff. Sexual harassment, bullying, and discrimination are inconsistent with this objective. No member will be harassed, bullied or discriminated against due to age, skill level, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, citizenship, religion, race, color, national origin, ethnic origin, disability or any other personal status or in retaliation for an unrelated complaint being filed.
Sexual harassment, bullying and discrimination based on age, sex, sexual orientation, citizenship, religion, race, color, national origin, ethnic origin, disability or any other personal status is illegal under federal and state laws and will not be tolerated within the league.
Participants of the Bradentucky Bombers, LLC, pledge to:
Cooperate with other participants and officials at all times
Never intentionally cause physical harm to another participant or official
Not engage in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety or well being of any player, participant, official or any other attendee
Treat the staff, volunteers, officials, other players, and spectators with respect at all times
Treat any player, participant, official or any other attendee with respect regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, ability, identity, or orientation
Listen to and follow all given instructions and directions from officials, coaches and instructors
Respect the facility, sports equipment, and facility amenities
Not play under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Participate in a sportsmanlike and safe manner at all times
Read and review the Bradentucky Bombers, LLC, bylaws and policies and adhere to them at all times
Uphold the league philosophy of healthy competition and sportsmanship
Failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct, depending on the seriousness of the offense(s), may result in any or all of the following consequences as outlined in the disciplinary actions clause (Section 2.F) may occur:
Written citation and verbal warning
Temporary suspension from league play (no refund of monthly dues)
Removal from the league entirely (no refund of paid dues to date)
Depending on the seriousness of the offense(s), the Board of Directors reserves the right to bypass a verbal warning and vote to temporarily suspend or remove any participant from the league.
FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
The Bradentucky Bombers are committed to a safe and respectful environment and bout day experience that respects the rights of each and every guest. All fans are expected to abide by the standards of behavior as outlined in our Fan Code of Conduct.
The Fan Code of Conduct requires guests to refrain from the following:
Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, threatening or violent in nature, including verbal or physical harassment of bout officials, skaters, staff, volunteers, or fans.
Displaying signs, symbols, images, using language or making gestures that are threatening, abusive, or discriminatory, including on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, ability, and/or sexual orientation.
Intoxication or other signs of alcohol or substance impairment resulting in poor behavior.
Foul, obscene, threatening, offensive or abusive language, gestures or actions.
Interfering with the progress of the bout. Throwing any object while in the facility.
Entering or attempting to enter the track, the skater benches, the locker room or any other location other than public areas.
Failing to follow the instructions of volunteers or Bradentucky Bombers personnel.
Verbal or physical harassment or intimidation of the opposing team or its fans.
Smoking outside of designated smoking areas.
Fighting or physical violence of any type.
Indecent exposure or the wearing of offensive clothing, including racist imagery.
Conduct that endangers any other person.
Ethnic intimidation.
Any behavior that otherwise targets other fans or interferes with other fans’ enjoyment of the game.
Violators of the Fan Code of Conduct will be ejected from the facility. Any fan who violates any of these provisions may be subject to penalty, including, but not limited to, ejection without refund, loss of ticket privileges for future games and revocation of season tickets. Season ticket holders may have account privileges revoked without reimbursement at the discretion of the Bradentucky Bombers.
